Rain

Raining, pouring, cleansing, purifying – water’s healing touch. In God’s great wisdom, Lent becomes a fount in the desert, washing away all the impurities that separate us from Him. Meanwhile, rain falls from the Heavens, reminding us where this purifying Love comes from. The torrents drench and drown, sting and dissolve, until everything is fresh and new. All that remain are pure drops of water clinging to bright green grass blades, swaying in the fresh breeze, warmed in the uncovered sun. And so we sway, if we are pliable, in the Holy Spirit that leads our hearts to Christ, clouds of sin removed, unveiling the Light of the World.

  1. So beautiful! This will help me to view rain a bit differently! we are in sunny Washington this weekend! Yippee! I loved the part of being pliable to the Holy Spirit as I have been studying Spirit of Jesus this past month. Live Jesus!
